Jared Benjamin, also known as J.B. Stone (he/they) is a Neurodivergent/Autistic spoken poet, writer, editor, dabbling playwright, and critic from Brooklyn, NY now residing in Buffalo, NY. He is the author of three chapbooks, including his most recent work, Fireflies And Hand Grenades (Bottlecap Press 2022). They’re the Editor-In-Chief/Reviews Editor at Variety Pack and also read for Split Lip Magazine. Nominated for Best Small Fictions and Best of the Net, his writing has appeared in over 60 print and online publications including; BlazeVOX, Atticus Review, Rain Taxi, The Talon Review, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, Reunion: The Dallas Review, Los Angeles Review, Chicago Review of Books, Riggwelter, Peach Mag, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Occulum, Flash Fiction Magazine, The Buffalo News, Noctua Review, River and South Review, Star*Line, Frontier Poetry, Hex Literary, BULL, HAD (Hobart After Dark), MoonPark Review, X-R-A-Y Literary Magazine, Peach Mag, Frontier Poetry, The McNeese Review/Boudin, and many more. On top of this J.B.’s competed, showcased and performed his poetry all over U.S. & Canada, from the president of SUNY Fredonia’s home, to the Silos of Buffalo, NY, to a feature at Art Bar Poetry Series, one of Canada’s longest running poetry series, down south of the Mason-Dixon line in North Carolina. J.B. most recently headed to Knoxville, TN repping with Buffalo’s only poetry slam team, Pure Ink Poetry for the fourth time, at the 33rd Annual Southern Fried Poetry Slam Festival, one of the largest regional poetry slam festivals in North America. As of right now, Pure Ink Poetry Slam ranks in the top 20 poetry slam teams in the nation.

J.B. is a teaching artist having taught anywhere between 30-35 workshops across multiple literary arts disciplines with a wide variety of people alike from High School Students to Adults with Developmental Disabilities, and partnering with organizations across WNY from Just Buffalo Literary Center to Accessible Academics.
